This is a groundbreaking 8-lesson training program that will introduce participants to the principles of cross-cultural ministry in various areas of interaction within the local church. This training is primarily focused on equipping and developing Spirit-led leaders to serve within the cross-cultural innerworkings of a local church located in a multicultural or cosmopolitan city. This program will help students understand the cross-cultural interaction within and beyond the local church. This for purposes of the edification of the body of Christ inside the local church and for the fulfilling of the Great Commission beyond the walls of the local church. This training is offered fully online in live and recorded formats.

Participants will:

1. Learn the theological basis for equipping church leadership in cross-cultural ministry.
2. Obtain an understanding of the threefold nature of the human heart as it responds through cognition, affection, and volition.
3. Study a biblical understanding of cross-cultural ministry in the local church considering the church purpose, identity, and mission. Additionally, students are introduced to the practical understanding of the cross-cultural innerworkings of the local church, and the phenomenon happening in cosmopolitan cities and how the church can capitalize on these opportunities within the local church and beyond.
4. Become a better leader by obtaining a biblical perspective on leadership as well as knowledge of leadership theory applied cross-cultural ministry. This includes a blend of organizational and servant leadership training.
5. Learn to lead, motivate, and disciple cross-cultural ministry teams.
6. Understand a God-centered vision for discipleship, a biblical perspective of spiritual parenting, and the practice of spiritual disciplines.
7. Learn to equip to local church in meaningful educational ministry. This includes educational philosophy, learning science theory, best practices, and an understanding of how to teach and disciple different ministry groups within the local church.
8. Learn about educational ministry and discipleship in various age-group ministries within a multicultural local church.

The following is the course schedule distributed in the 8 (eight) Zoom lectures:

• WEEK 1: Lessons 1 and 2 – Tuesday 08/23 – 7:30 PM
  • Pre-assessment survey (required to join the class)
  • Lesson 1: The Theological Basis for Equipping Church Leadership in Cross-Cultural Ministry.
  • Lesson 2: The threefold nature of the human heart as responding through cognition, affection, and volition and its influence in cultural worldview.
