Learning objectives

This training seeks to produce cross-cultural ministry leaders (vocational and lay), guided by the Holy Spirit who serve in multiple areas of the church for the purpose of the edification of the body of Christ within the local church and for the fulfillment of the Great Commission within and beyond the walls of the local church. All this with the sole purpose of glory to God. All members of the Body of Christ must live every moment of their lives to the glory of God.

General Information of the Cross-Cultural Ministry Leadership Course

This is an innovative 8-session training program that will introduce participants to the principles of cross-cultural ministry in various areas of interaction within the local church. This training focuses primarily on equipping and developing Spirit-led leaders to serve within the cross-cultural inner workings of a local church located in a multicultural city. This program will help students understand cross-cultural interaction within and outside the local church. This for the purpose of the edification of the body of Christ and for the fulfillment of the Great Commission beyond the walls of the local church. This training is offered completely online in recorded and live formats.

Participants will:

1. Learn theological foundations to equip church leadership in cross-cultural ministry.
2. Gain an understanding of the threefold nature of the human heart as it responds through cognition, affection, and volition.
3. Study the biblical understanding of cross-cultural ministry in the local church considering the purpose, identity and mission of the church. Additionally, students are presented with a practical understanding of the cross-cultural inner workings of the local church and the phenomenon that occurs in cross-cultural cities and how the church can capitalize on these opportunities within the local church and beyond.
4. Become a better leader by gaining a biblical perspective on leadership as well as knowledge of leadership theory applied to cross-cultural ministry. This includes a combination of organizational and servant leadership training.
5. Learn to lead, motivate and disciple cross-cultural ministry teams.
6. Understand a God-centered vision for discipleship, a biblical perspective of spiritual parenting, and the practice of spiritual disciplines.
7. Learn how to equip the local church in meaningful educational ministry. This includes educational philosophy, science of learning theory, best practices, and an understanding of how to teach and disciple different ministry groups within the local church.
8. Learn about educational ministry and discipleship in various age group ministries within a multicultural local church.

About the Instructor

Dr. Julio C. Salas, D.Ed.Min, MDIV, MSIS, Licensed Minister

Dr. Julio C. Salas, MSIS, MDIV is a Licensed Southern Baptist Minister, Seminary Instructor, Consultant in Organizational Leadership, Educational Systems and Systems Integration.

Dr. Julio Salas has a Bachelor of Business Administration with a specialty in Management Information Systems, as well as a Master of Science in Information Systems, both from Florida International University (School of Business) in the city of Miami in the United States of America. He also has a Master of Divinity from the  Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky (USA). Dr. Salas has a Doctorate in Educational Ministry with a concentration in Leadership from the same Baptist educational institution.

Dr. Julio C. Salas brings a combined twenty-five years of integrated professional and ministry experience in various areas of church ministry and service. This includes directional leadership, leadership coaching and development, organizational coaching and training of church staff and ministry teams, Christian education, discipleship, volunteer management and organization, integration of ministry educational systems, church management systems, information systems of churches and information technology, online Church integration, among other areas of church leadership and management.

In addition to serving in ministry, Dr. Salas has had the privilege of serving and pouring his knowledge and experience into other for-profit and non-profit organizations of various industries and sizes, including the public and private sectors, both in English and Spanish. Spanish.

His professional experience includes business, finance, small and medium-sized businesses, retail, online, school system, police and prison system, library system, electoral systems, cruise ships, television channels, e-commerce, among others. From 2004 to 2010 he was a member of the Miami-Dade County Advisory Board, a position he held providing business insights for the best local work for companies in the city of Miami.

Dr. Salas is married to his beautiful wife Dady with whom he shares a romance and life adventure. As the wise King Solomon said about 900 years before Christ: “Who can find a virtuous woman? Because its esteem far exceeds that of precious stones. (Proverbs 31:10-31).
